Our button melter uses a tungsten electrode to strike an arc on materials positioned within a water cooled copper crucible in an inert atmosphere.
Vacuum Induction Melting
Our production VIM furnace can melt and cast ingots of up to 650 pounds of Iron, Nickel, Cobalt and/or Copper alloys into round or slab molds.
Induction Skull Melting
We operate one of the most unique Induction Skull Melting furnaces in the United States. This furnace can melt refractory metals without using any refractory.
Vacuum Arc Remelting
Metalwerks’ extensive range of capabilities allows us to remelt alloys that require a higher quality or larger quantity than what our other primary melting furnaces can create.
Who We Are
Metalwerks, Inc. has over twenty years of experience melting and processing vacuum melted specialty metals. We operate five vacuum melting furnaces and bar processing equipment at our facilities in Aliquippa, PA. We serve customers in the medical, industrial, and aerospace industries as well as research and development projects. Our facilities are certified to AS9100D, ISO9001 and ISO13485 quality certifications.
Typical alloy systems include Fe, Ni, Co, Cu, Ti, and Zr in quantities ranging from 300 grams up to 6000 pounds. Through our extensive network of outside processors we convert our ingot into bar, plate, coil and/or sheet.
